The Apparition Will Appear On Blu-ray In November

This fall’s most easily forgotten horror flick, The Apparition, is coming to Blu-ray, DVD, and digital download on November 27. Starring the Twilight franchise’s Ashley Greene and the Harry Potter franchise’s Tom Felton, the film was a good opportunity for both to make a name for themselves outside of the respective franchises that made them a household name. Unfortunately, the movie doesn’t really work, and it’s doubtful it will boost anyone’s resume.

If you did enjoy The Apparition--which follows a group of college students experimenting to bring a spirit back to Earth, as well as focusing on the creepy events that follow in the home of couple Ben (Sebastian Stan) and Kelly (Greene)--there is some bright news. The sets will run pretty cheaply, with Blu-ray copies costing $29.98 and DVD copies running for $28.98, which really isn’t a huge difference in price, although with dissimilar extras, you’d think the change in price would be more notable.

Due to the low cost of the set—and likely the fact this is a horror flick—extras with the set will be sparse, especially with DVD copies. DVDs will only come with the featurette, “The Apparition: A Cinematic Spector.” Blu-ray copies will feature some extra bonus features, but honestly, it’s nothing to get too excited about. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a horror film with a slew of interesting extras, and The Apparition does not look as if it will be the exception. You can check out the full list, below.
