Borat Visits The White House!

With his movie still nearly two months away, I'm almost afraid to envision what sort of stunt Sacha Baron Cohen will come up with as the coupe de grace to promote his new movie Borat. So far, he's pissed off an entire Eastern Block country, and now he's attempted to infiltrate the White House.

It seems that Cohen showed up at the White House gate in full Borat mode, and attempted to gain entry to invite "Premier George W. Bush" to a screening of his movie. He did it on the day when Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev was to meet with President Bush to discuss oil and the evil portrayal of Kazakhstan by Borat, among other things. As you'd expect, the Secret Service turned our friend Borat away.

On his official site Borat further claims that the real reason for Bush and Nazarbayev's meeting is to see his movie. "All claims that our glorious leader is displeased with my film, 'Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan' is lie. Infacts main purpose of Premier Nazharbayev's visit to Washingtons is to promote this moviefilm. This why together with Ministry of Information he will be hosting a screening tomorrow evening, to which he have invitate Premiere George Walter Bush and other American dignitaries - Donald Rumsfeld, Bill Gates, OJ Simpson and Mel Gibsons. This screening will be followed by cocktail party and a discussion of closer ties between our countries at Hooters."
