Do you want to build a passionate, filthy, S&M snowman? Frozen and Fifty Shades of Grey both have identifiable target demographics. And those audience members predominantly are female – though they are separated in age by several decades. The two demographics shouldn’t really crisscross. YouTube user Tranceart Violeta took the audio from the recent Fifty Shades of Grey trailer and applied it to Disney’s smash animated hit Frozen, coming up with the viral vid Fifty Shades of Frozen. No, you filthy reader, the forbidden love isn’t between Elsa and Anna. These trailer mash ups are nothing new, though this Frozen one is one of the better ones we have seen. For various reasons, creative editors like to synch family-themed animation to violent films, like this Walt Disney’s Sin City clip:
Or the cut of Pixar’s Up, paired with Clint Eastwood’s Gran Torino.
Now let’s pray that moms don’t mistake Fifty Shades of Grey as a Frozen sequel, and plan a family night at the movies next February.
