Final Batman V Superman Trailer Is Action-Packed And Incredible, Watch It Now

This is it. This is the trailer that I’ve been waiting for. The trailer that finally sets a tone for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, that I fully can support. That I can get behind. That I can ANTICIPATE. It has a rock-and-roll edge to it. It has incredibly edited action, and it isn’t a somber death march of uber-serious footage. This rocks! Watch it now:

Opening this final Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer with an extended Batman action sequence was a brilliant and beautiful touch. In a lengthy montage, we’re able to see what a well-oiled machine this older, veteran Batman (Ben Affleck) is, and how well he works with his Alfred (Jeremy Irons). It also explains how this vigilante watchdog would come to fear and distrust the Man of Steel… leading to a massive confrontation.

The lengthy Batman sequence at the start of this clip is also MOST of the new footage that we are going to see in here. It references a LOT of the footage that we saw in previous clips, solidifying the belief that there’s still a lot to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice that we have not seen in marketing materials, meaning Warner Bros. and director Zack Snyder successfully kept the anticipated blockbuster under wraps until now. Impressive. The new trailer also gives us the best look at how Snyder is approaching Batman’s action and fight skills… and they are bone-crunching! Look at the way he dispenses with that warehouse filled with thugs.

Of course, that’s nothing compared to Superman. But there’s one new shot in this trailer that suggests Batman has an answer to the might of Kal-El. Look at the face on Superman when Batman figures out how to block his punch.

In Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Superman (Henry Cavill) deals with the aftermath of Man of Steel, where he inadvertently caused mayhem and destruction while trying to halt the plans of General Zod (Michael Shannon). Because of that display of strength, Superman has earned the ire of Batman (Ben Affleck), Gotham City’s sworn protector who has been through decades of turmoil, but has never seen a threat like Kal-El before.

In addition to pitting the world’s most popular superheroes against each other, Batman v Superman also introduces Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) to the DC Extended Universe, and lays the groundwork for future Justice League movies. But it all starts here, with Dawn of Justice, on March 25.
