Firth Moves On Mighty McFearless

Disney is working on another kids' fantasy flick. This time it's being adapted from a children's book by Ahmet Zappa called The Monstrous Memoirs of a Mighty McFearless.

Variety reports that Tim Firth has been hired to turn it into a script for Walt's empire and Jerry Bruckheimer Films. They optioned the book last year, and since then the rights have just been hanging around in someone's desk waiting for Disney execs to get off their ass and do something with it.

The book is about a brother and sister who discover that they're descended from monster hunters. Though they don't exactly get along, they're forced to take up the famply trade together and take on a super monster.

Firth's past work has been mostly of the odd erotica variety. He wrote the naked old ladies movie Calendar Girls and this year's tranny romp Kinky Boots. So parents, get moving and buy your McFearless tickets right now.
