The latest classic television show headed towards the big screen may be Sanford and Son, according to Moviehole. The original show was a sitcom about a cranky old junk dealer (Red Fox) who, well, he basically just sat around in his house with his son and complained. I’m not really sure how you make that a movie.
But if you’re going to make that a movie, may I suggest Bernie Mac in the Fred Sanford role? Well they've got him. Bernie Mac and Nick Cannon are set to star as Fred Sanford and his son Lamont. Nobody can read the riot act better than Bernie. He might actually be able to squeeze something out of this bad idea.
