From Killer Dolls To Zombie Hoards

The Child’s Play franchise hasn’t been kind to most people involved. Other than the killer doll Chucky, most of the on screen cast members have been left behind as the saga has continued on. Sure he’s picked up a woman along the way, but what about the children he’s traumatized?

Well, one of those children has moved on. Alex Vincent, who played Chucky’s first caretaker in the first Child’s Play (and Child’s Play 2), Andy, has found his way back to the big screen. Apparently the actor is in talks to take on a bigger threat than a possessed doll: it looks like instead he’ll be taking on zombies in Dead Country, currently filming in Australia.

Vincent won’t be the only former horror movie face to put in an appearance in Dead Country. According to Blockbuster.com.au, the cast also features Lloyd Kaufman of Troma fame, Lisa Wilcox (Nightmare on Elm Street), and William Butler (Night of the Living Dead), so clearly director Andrew Merkelbach is trying to pay homage to other genre films.
