Of all the comic book movie franchises out there, few have experienced as many severe ups and downs as X-Men. Bryan Singer did his part to start the comic book movie craze when he made the two films in the series all the way back in 2000 and 2003, but it has been a rocky road quality-wise since, with some major failures (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) and some big surprises (X-Men: First Class). These highs and lows have made it incredibly hard to know what to really expect from an X-Men movie, but thanks to the latest trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past we now know exactly how we should feel: very, very excited.

The new preview launched on Tuesday night, and while I have been somewhere between curious and optimistic about the movie up until now, my feelings have now shifted into enthusiastic mode. From the heist like set-up of getting all of the 1973 X-Men together for a prison break, to some insanely cool action sequences, the trailer is the one I’ve been waiting months and months for without even knowing it. Give it a look for yourself below:

Joining me as a co-host this week is Comic Book Resources/Screen Crave/Movie Pilot writer Melissa Molina, who helps me break down all of the footage we got to see, what our hopes for the film are, and much more. Check it out!
