Ti West may not yet be a household name, but he is most definitely gathering a following. After making two features in his early career, West became a name to watch in 2009 with the critically-lauded House of the Devil and has kept it going this year with The Innkeepers (which I saw at this year's Los Angeles Film Festival and really loved). Needless to say, the filmmaker has a lot of eyes on him now and according to HeyUGuys he has two projects in the works.

Speaking at the Film4 FrightFest in England, West said that he has both a science-fiction film as well as a werewolf movie looking to get made. According to Movies.com, the sci-fi project is a film called The Side Effects, which "involves pharmaceutical testing and outer space." West says that he has half of the funding in place for that project thus far. The werewolf film, however, is a bit more of a mystery. While he says that the script is "ready and waiting," there aren't any details about the project that have been released. West is also one of the 26 directors taking part in The ABCs of Death, a project from Drafthouse Films that is split into 26 chapters, each one concerning death in a different fashion.

If you haven't already seen it, The House of the Devil is out on home release and while the film doesn't have a set release date yet, do yourself a favor and keep an eye out for The Innkeepers over the next few months. Ti West is a director you should definitely be paying attention to and we can only hope that he gets the money for these next two movies soon.
