Tony Stark's been out in public about his Iron Man alter ego since the very end of the first Iron Man movie, which has its pros and cons. On one hand, he's got immense pressure to live up to his do-gooder power suit, and the entire world knows that if Iron Man doesn't show up to save the day, they can ask Tony Stark why not. On the other hand, the combination of Stark's charisma and a gossip-hungry press means that he's got a public platform pretty much any time he wants it… and that's exactly what Tony's taking advantage of in this new clip from Iron Man 3.

We've seen hints of this impromptu press conference since the first trailer, although what seems new in this one is the reveal that the press conference takes place before Tony's Malibu mansion gets destroyed-- at least, we have to assume he's not giving out the address for a cliffside manor that no longer exists. I like the touch of Tony throwing away the reporter's iPhone, because somehow it makes sense that the most technologically savvy of all Marvel superheroes would be annoyed by the one awesome thing on this Earth that he didn't invent.

Iron Man 3, which is currently launching its giant international PR offensive, is set to kick off summer movie season in less than a month, arriving in American theaters on May 3.
