Justice League LEGO Spoof Might Be Closest We Ever Get To A Movie

How hard is it to actually get a damn Justice League of America movie off of the ground? These guys made a pretty decent JLA spoof for YouTube using only LEGO figures … and it’s a lot better than whatever it is Warner Bros. has prepped to date – which, if you’re keeping score at home is Zilch, Zero, Nada, and Nothing.

The plot of this clever short features exactly what you would want from a Justice League movie, with The Joker teaming with Lex Luthor for a diabolical plot that is foiling Batman, Superman and the entire team. The humor, meanwhile, pokes fun at everything we know about JLA, from the Dark Knight’s crippling emotional trauma surrounding the death of his parents to Aquaman’s uselessness anywhere outside of the water. Credit to Kal-El for figuring out one way to make Aquaman useful!

The clip actually addresses some of the hurdles Warner likely is facing behind the scenes. How do you make heroes like Aquaman, Green Lantern and Flash exciting on the silver screen? No one is saying that it can’t be done. Heck, if Hawkeye can find his way into an Avengers movie, then anything is possible.

But right now, spoof clips like this are the closest we’re getting to an actual Justice League movie. Warner has said it’s unofficially waiting to see how Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel does before moving forward on the next superhero movie. And Chris Nolan concluded Batman’s arc with The Dark Knight Rises, so where does that hero go? Time will tell. In the meantime, laugh at this clip, because whoever made it knows their Justice League stuff … and should be hired as a consultant on Warner’s eventual movie.
