Kick-Ass Poster Got Its Ass Kicked

One of the central themes of Kick-Ass is that, because he is a superhero with no superpowers, Dave Lizewski gets the shit kicked out of him A LOT. Many have read that the film will be extraordinarily violent, but film-goers will quickly learn that as much blood comes out of the protagonist and the antagonists. It happens so often, in fact, that the number of real life "superheroes" may go down after the film comes out, rather than up. I mention this because the new poster, which premiered on MySpace, captures this theme perfectly.

Sitting in a dumpster with a face reminiscent of Mickey Rourke's, Kick-Ass is a hero who gets his ass handed to him regularly, but that doesn't mean he can't look badass at the same time. Check out a smaller version of the poster below.
