Lex Luthor's Bald Head In Batman v Superman Confirmed?
Ever since Jesse Eisenberg was first cast as Lex Luthor in Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, there has been a lingering question regarding whether or not the actor would sport the legendary villain's classic chrome dome look. Unfortunately, the film has also worked hard to keep that little item a mystery, as The Social Network star's head was constantly covered while he was outside filming scenes for the blockbuster. Funny enough, however, it now seems that the great question has been answered thanks to a new look at Eisenberg's character in the upcoming Now You See Me 2.
The first look image at Now You See Me 2 has come to us courtesy of director Jon Chu's Instagram feed, and if you look at Jesse Eisenberg's head, you'll notice that he isn't exactly sporting a lot of hair, suggesting that he may now be growing it back after spending some time with it being shaved. You can check out the behind-the-scenes photo below:
This is admittedly circumstantial evidence, as its entirely possible that Jesse Eisenberg and/or Jon Chu decided that magician Daniel Atlas should sport a buzz cut in Now You See Me 2, but one can also see how this might be proof that Eisenberg did indeed shave his head to play Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. After all, the comic book movie only officially wrapped production last month, and I'd totally believe that what the actor is currently sporting on his head is about a month-and-a-half's worth of growth. Without confirmation it's admittedly just speculation, but I would totally buy it.
Of course, the big question that lingers now is actually when we might get our first look at Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor so that we can confirm whether or not he took a shaving kit to the top of his head. Over the last year we've seen director Zack Snyder reveal first looks at Ben Affleck's Batman, Henry Cavill's Superman, and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, so I wonder if it might not be too long before he eventually Tweets out an official shot of the new Luthor. Otherwise, we may have to just wait for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's official trailer, which is predicted to drop in the next couple weeks but hasn't actually been announced.
If Jesse Eisenberg did in fact shave his head for Batman vs. Superman, it's also worth noting that he should probably get used to keeping it short. After all, we're now just a few months away from the start of production on David Ayer's Suicide Squad, and if Lex Luthor is involved as has been rumored, then Eisenberg might have to once again take the resemblance of a cue ball. Hopefully we'll have at least one image of him by the time that happens.
