One Sheet Wonders

Josh's One Sheet Wonders

Posters exist for movies that are coming out some time soon. We have them. We keep them to ourselves, but take pictures of them to prove to you that they actually exist. Then I make fun of them. Did you miss it?

As much as I love M. Night’s movies and think he has a real flair for producing great movie trailers… his posters traditionally suck. The Village is no exception, with the American one sporting nothing but a bland red line and this French one, going a little crazy and showing some tree branches. I’m told the French love boring movies about trees. Particularly conifers.

This is what The Incredibles could have been if it were directed by Paul W.S. Anderson. Instead, we have a sequel to Super Babies… which hopefully you’ve never even heard of, let alone seen. It’s cool cause the babies are wearing sunglasses. They may even dance.

Bill broke this one in BNN earlier this week, but to me it still looks like Bridget Jones has swallowed a guppie. This is the follow up to the original fem hit, this time titled Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. It looks like Renee Zellweger has gained the required weight and is ready to go. But how the heck did they fix her squinty eye problem? Invisible toothpicks?

This is a refreshingly honest poster for Anacondas. A movie so bad it’ll make you feel like you’re drowning in um… snakes. See, it has an “s” in the name so that means more snakes which means even more of that old Anaconda fun we’ve all been um… pining for?

You can’t see it, but on the right side of this poster for Going the Distance it says “by Avril Lavigne”. That guy in the back has a cowboy hat but isn’t a cowboy. Isn’t that cool? That kid in the middle is me when I’m forced to see this movie.

Reese Witherspoon is surprisingly good at looking incredibly evil. She’s been wasting her time playing pink and fuzzy. Don’t stop with Vanity Fair Reese, you were born to play the devil. Or maybe his hot and twisted bride, or at least one of his minor underlings. Some sort of conniving demon or minor hell deity. Embrace your dark nature!
