If there's one thing that all of us have learned from the Twilight saga it's not that tweens like vampires, but that every woman in the world wants to have sex with Robert Pattinson. There are young girls and full grown women around the world who have posters of Edward on their walls and flock to message boards and fan sites daily to talk about their obsession. Is it creepy? Most definitely. But it should do Bel Ami at least a few favors at the box office.
The first trailer for the Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod-directed film has arrived online and basically features Robert Pattinson sleeping with Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci, and Kristin Scott Thomas to get to the top. Based on the novel by Guy de Maupassant and adapted by Rachel Bennette, Bel Ami stars Robert Pattinson as Georges Duroy, a former solider who arrives in Paris to become a member of the elite class. He accomplishes this task by sleeping with the wives of the most established men in the city, but every great rise is due for a great fall. The film also stars Natalia Tena, Colm Meaney, Holliday Grainger and Philip Glenster.
