Today was the day that Batman fans have been waiting months for. After a somewhat disappointing teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises was sent out this summer, today brought the film's first theatrical preview to the masses and it is incredible. From Bane's line about giving Bruce Wayne permission to die once Gotham is in ashes to Selina Kyle's warnings about a coming fall, everything about the trailer worked perfectly and made us all just a little bit more impatient. But it wasn't just about what the characters had to say (I also love Alfred's choked up lines at the start of the video) - the visuals are pretty damn amazing as well.

Following the trailer's release this morning, I went through it frame by frame to pick out some of the best moments. In our gallery below you will find 66 images taken from the trailer, showing off the exploding football field, the Jim Gordon Press Conference, Bruce Wayne's new cane, and much more. And, as always, for more from the movie you can head over to our Blend Film Database.
