Surprise! Hostel III Starts Filming This August

The Hostel franchise no longer has anything to do with Eli Roth, and frankly, I was kind of unaware that there even was a Hostel franchise to speak of anymore. But according to Bloody Disgusting, innocent tourists will be terrorized once again this summer, as Hostel III gears up to start filming this August.

Given that the company in charge of production, Sony Stage 6, also brought the world the direct-to-DVD 30 Days of Night sequel, there's pretty much zero chance you'll be seeing Hostel: Part III in theaters. You might be inclined to rent it, though, based on its hilarious concept of relocating the action to Vegas, "where a bachelor party goes horribly wrong." No, I'm sure this has absolutely nothing to do with the success of The Hangover. Why do you ask?

Scott Spiegel (of the direct-to-DVD Spring Break '83, inexplicably starring John Goodman, Joe Pantoliano, Joe Piscopo and Downtown Julie Brown) will be directing from a screenplay by Michael Weiss. Feel free to now go back to your regularly scheduled life.
