T.A.T.U. Liplocks Into Movies

Remember T.A.T.U? They were popular here in the United States, mostly because they were hot and the two girls liked to play we’re lesbians who are hot for each other game. Whether or not they are actually gay and actually into each other always seemed to be a point of contention, some said it was really all just a publicity stunt. Either way, they had five minutes of North American fame not for their singing, but because they made out a lot on their album covers.

Well out friends over at Moviehole have been surfing a message board at tatuforum.com, and in the process discovered that the briefly chart-topping lipstick lesbian duo is about to make their feature film debut.

The movie is called Finding T.A.T.U., and it’s about an American girl and a Russian girl who get friendly and head off to look for their favorite band, T.A.T.U. Presumably at some point they find them, since the whole story here is that the band is actually in the movie.

MH has casting notices from the film, so we know what sort of people they’re looking to cast in the movie. You can check them out here but basically they’re looking for smoking hot, barely legal school girls. Willingness to lip lock with other chicks is, most likely, a plus.

I’ve heard that T.A.T.U. is still popular overseas, but here in the United States they’re way past yesterday’s news. They peaked with their en masse lesbian lip lock performance at the 2003 MTV movie awards, and then shortly thereafter faded out of the public consciousness. I guess if there’s enough sex in the movie people over here might notice, but why not just pick up a copy of Girls Gone Wild instead.
