With critical response largely positive and a theatrical run that more than made its money back, the greenlighting of Piranha 3DD was hardly a shock, but as to who might exactly come back for the sequel... well, that's still a big mystery. I don't want to give too much away for those of you that haven't seen this glorious B-movie, but more than just a few people perish. Piranhas don't have the ability to discern who's a main character and who's just a party-going extra. Either that or they do and just don't give a fuck.

According to Shock Till You Drop, one of those main characters in limbo is Ving Rhames. He's still unsure if he's returning, mostly because the filmmakers haven't figured out whether his character died. That's right: mo one knows if he died. You might be thinking this sounds familiar and it should. After the movie came out, supporting star Paul Scheer took to his blog to propose possible theories about his character's fate. My favorite: he was actually a piranha.

Regardless of whether Rhames comes back or not, I will be seeing this film on opening night. If you have a sense of humor, as well as a lust for pointless violence, you should join me.
