New Justice League Video Offers Behind The Scenes Look At The Team Assembled

Justice League is one of the more intensive blockbusters that's been shooting this year. Principal photography kicked off in early April in the United Kingdom, and they're just now wrapping up filming in that area. Production on the entire movie is by no means over, but to commemorate the finished work in London, a new behind-the-scenes video is online showing the team assembled and other cool moments.

Earlier today, director Zack Snyder posted this featurette on his Twitter page that shows plenty of goodies from the Justice League shoot over the last several months. Some of the moments are familiar because we saw the finished product in the San Diego Comic-Con preview, namely when Ben Affleck's Batman (as Bruce Wayne) approaches Jason Momoa's Aquaman (a.k.a. Arthur Curry) at that coastal bar. This time, however, we see how shooting this scene went down behind the cameras, and one thing's certain: that footage looks way darker than how the set actually was that day.

From there, the featurette jumps to numerous cool moments from the Justice League shoot, including a neat snippet of the heroes descending down an elevator together. As one would expect on a production this size, there's plenty of green screen being used on the upcoming DC superhero team-up flick, such as to create the illusion they're walking up a tall staircase or standing over a precarious ledge. Even better, there are also plenty of explosions. However, the cast and crew still made sure to have fun on the London set, like when Jason Momoa stole Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman sword. However, antics and action scenes aside, there is one particular moment from this video that caught my eye.

Ezra Miller

Ok, ignore Ezra Miller as Flash crazily grinning to the camera and look at the people behind him. They're all draped in green screen material except for eyeholes cut out so they can see. We've known for a while that Steppenwolf, a denizen of Apokolips, will be the movie's primary villain, so could these green-screen folks be filling in as Parademons, the creatures briefly sighted during Batman's Knightmare sequence in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice? Steppenwolf will need an army to properly invade Earth, and the Parademons serve those who enforce Darkseid's will.

Following on the heels of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League will see Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, Cyborg and eventually Superman joining forces to protect the Earth from Steppenwolf, who has come in search of the Mother Boxes. Along with the main heroes and primary antagonist, the cast includes Amy Adams as Lois Lane, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko and possibly Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke.

Justice League will arrive in theaters on November 17, 2017.
