Everyone has a Star Wars character that they would want to be. Some people love Han Solo, while others love Princess Leia. However, if you're a Hollywood actor, then the idea of actually becoming one of these characters becomes exponentially more possible. Rosario Dawson is apparently a huge fan of the greater Star Wars lore, and the actress recently revealed to her social media followers that she wants to portray Ahsoka Tano in a future Star Wars movie. When one of Rosario Dawson's fans suggested the possibility of seeing her portray Ahsoka Tano in a live-action Star Wars movie, the actress quickly took to Twitter to voice her support for the idea. The 37-year-old actress has a long history of playing badass women in action-heavy roles (most notably in the Daredevil TV series and the Sin City franchise), so we're completely on board with this idea. She has the action chops to pull off the portrayal with ease, and her age makes her perfect to play the older and more seasoned Ahsoka from Star Wars Rebels.

Ahsoka Tano Star Wars

For those of you who do not know, Ahsoka Tano is one of the most important Star Wars characters in relation to Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. She is a former apprentice of the legendary Sith Lord from his time as a Jedi during The Clone Wars, and the character has become a fan-favorite aspect of the Star Wars Rebels series. The character was presumed dead after the Season 2 finale of Rebels, but over the last few months it has become increasingly apparent that she's going to return -- hence the hashtag, #AhsokaLives.

Beyond Ahsoka's relevance to the current Star Wars mythology, the fact of the matter is that we want to see her face off against her former master in a vicious lightsaber duel.

The prospect of a character like Ahsoka making her way into the live-action Star Wars universe seems more likely than ever now that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has landed in theaters. The Galactic Civil War has become fertile storytelling ground for Disney and Lucasfilm, and the successful live-action adaptation of Saw Gerrera (played by Forest Whitaker) proves that various Star Wars media can combine into something cohesive and genuinely fun for fans. Bring on Ahsoka!

It remains to be seen whether or not Rosario Dawson will get the opportunity to portray Ahsoka in a Star Wars movie. That said, if the franchise eventually decides to cast the character in the movies, then this would represent a perfect choice. Star Wars: The Last Jedi will hit theaters later this year on December 15, and the Han Solo spin-off movie is currently in production.
