In both TV and film, the trend of nostalgia is truly driving current trends. With audiences ready to return to a simpler time, it seems like no formerly ended property is safe from popping back up against and making oodles of cash in the process. But not everyone is moving with the speed of NBC's Will and Grace revival, which has already been renewed for a second season. Tyra Banks' Life-Size 2 has been slowly developing for years now, and she recently revealed how involved she'd like Lindsay Lohan to be in the anticipated sequel. It turns out she wants Lohan in a significant role, which is sure to delight millennials everywhere.
Lindsay and I have been slipping into each other's DM's a lot lately. I think she's very interested in returning. It's about figuring out what that role is. I'd like it to be kind of robust. I'm not looking for a Lindsay cameo, I'm looking for her to have something pretty meaty in Life-Size 2, so we shall see what our writer comes up with.
Well, this is pretty exciting. It looks like Tyra Banks wants Eve and her old pal Casey (Lindsay Lohan) to team up for some more misadventures when Life-Size 2 eventually airs on Freeform. Life-Size is one of the ways Lohan won over our hearts as a child actress, and will remain one of the first films in many 90s kids associate with her.
Life Size originally aired back in 2000 on the Disney Channel, at a time where Disney Channel Original Movies were massively popular for tweens. The movie would be played pretty consistently on syndication, which is why a potential sequel is such an exciting concept to so many folks in their mid twenties. You'd be hard pressed to find a young professional who can't sing along to Eve's theme song "You're a Star", and those who can't quote some of the movie's best lines are seriously missing out.
Lindsay Lohan hasn't been doing much acting as of late, spending a great deal of time overseas, occasionally picking up vaguely European accents in the process. But with Life-Size's cult following and place in early 2000's pop culture, a sequel might be the perfect way for the actress to return to the small screen. Lohan's talent hasn't been used in quite some time, and it would be great to see her bring it on Life-Size 2. A large role in the sequel would definitely be one way to get some of her former fans back on Lohan's side.
