New Thor: Ragnarok TV Spot Brings Together The Revengers

The Revengers

Thor is getting ready to step on deck for his third outing in a solo movie, but if there's one thing we've learned over the years. It's that the God of Thunder works best in a team. Now, he's got a new one. The newest ad spot for Thor: Ragnarok brings together Thor, Hulk, Loki, and Valkyrie into a new superhero team with an awesome (or possibly an awesomely ridiculous) name. Meet the Revengers.

Because Thor and Hulk are part of the Avengers, but now they're out to get revenge...get it?

While the name may be silly, the team looks fantastic. The ad shows us all four of our heroes, or three heroes and Loki, looking their most kick-ass. Valkyrie riding a flying horse with a sword in hand, Hulk taking on a giant wolf with his bare hands, Thor vs. a fiery monster, and Loki looking smug as ever throwing knives around via magic. They certainly look like one hell of a team.

The name was clearly something that was workshopped between the two Avengers, the look on Mark Ruffalo's face when Chris Hemsworth says it is pure gold. As is Thor's backtracking when Valkyrie isn't nearly as impressed by it as they apparently thought she'd be.

While so much of Thor: Ragnarok looks funny, the movie also appears to have some serious consequences for its title character. His hammer gets destroyed and his home gets torched by Hela, and he ends up a captive of the Grandmaster, who forces him to fight in an arena for the amusement of others. There's more than one person that Thor is likely looking to get revenge on over the course of the movie.

Valkyrie is something of the X factor in the group as she's the character we haven't met previously within the MCU. Still, Tessa Thompson looks awesome in this spot as she has in the previous trailers. We can't wait to see more of her in the movie. She fits in rather well with this team of Revengers, don't you think?

Keep your eyes here in CinemaBlend as we have a lot of big news from the set of Thor: Ragnarok that has begun to roll out, and even more will be coming out over the next few days. The next chapter of the MCU hits theaters November 3.
