Sometimes, right before we sit down to record the latest ReelBlend, a lot of news breaks. And this is on top of the major topics we already planned to discuss. This leads to a LOT of show. Which is good for us, and -- we believe -- good for you. So enjoy this jam-packed episode of ReelBlend, because it's loaded with content for your listening pleasure.
The big one this week was the announcement that the Ghostbusters franchise was going to continue. More important, Jason Reitman would be stepping in to helm the next chapter in the saga that was started by his father, Ivan Reitman, decades ago. On top of the announcement, there was a video teaser. And indications that the original cast would be involved.
From there, the guys switched to a topic that was highly tantalizing... Christopher McQuarrie returning for not one but TWO Mission: Impossible movies. They would be delivered in the summers of 2020 and 2021. Jake has a very cool theory on the story, which you need to hear.
The review this week was for Glass, and boy, did they guys have opinions. The talk is spoiler free, so you can listen, and we will give star ratings and recommendations.
Finally, this week's #Blend Game was an interesting one. Jake, Sean and Kevin chose Keanu Reeves, which made the game a lot harder than expected. They took to the text chain to debate "Favorite Performance" or "Favorite Film" because with Keanu, it really led to drastically different answers. Give it a listen!
