Spider-Man: Far From Home

Powered by RedCircle

Our last MCU movie of the year drops into theaters next week when Sony and Marvel Studios open the anticipated sequel Spider-Man: Far From Home. And fans around the world are incredibly excited to find out where their friendly neighborhood Spider-Man goes in the chapter after Avengers: Endgame. You know, where he had dusted, and then come back from the dead.

One man holds all of the secrets to Spider-Man: Far From Home. Jon Watts is back at the helm of this sequel, having directed Tom Holland in Spider-Man: Homecoming. And during the recent London press junket, Watts agreed to a lengthy sit down with the ReelBlend boys to dive into the details of this new movie. It was awesome

We broke the conversation into two segments. This one, above, is the NON-SPOILER section of the chat. You can listen to all of that above without having seen the movie. But SEE IT! Because in next week’s ReelBlend episode, we will have a deep-dive spoiler conversation with Jon Watts about all things Spider-Man: Far From Home, and you are going to want to listen to it.

Before we got to this week’s interview, Sean, Jake and Kevin break down the recent trailer for Mike Flanagan’s Doctor Sleep, the sequel that Stephen King wrote for The Shining. Have you seen it yet?

Kevin and Sean also caught up with Toy Story 4, and discuss whether it works or not, and where it falls in the ranking of the four total Toy Story movies.

The Blend game, this week, focused on the films of Danny Boyle. Part of this is tied to the fact that Boyle has a new movie, Yesterday, opening in theaters. But also, Danny Boyle is freaking amazing, and the more we are able to talk about his brilliant films, the better.
