After a mental breakdown and brief hospitalization, Kanye West is turning to his music to help him heal. The rapper is reportedly feeling more creative than ever and working in his personal recording studio on a lot of new music.

Kanye West apparently had a temporary studio built in his Bel-Air home and has been spending much of his time since getting out of the hospital recording music in there, a source tells TMZ. Apparently, West is comparing his recent emotional turmoil to two of the other tragedies in his life, and West managed to turn both of those devastating events into two of his proudest pieces of work --- he recorded his debut single "Through the Wire" with his jaw wired shut due to a serious car accident in 2002, and he recorded his critically beloved album 808s & Heartbreak in the wake of his mother Donda West's death in 2007. If that's the case, it looks like we might be in for another masterpiece from Mr. West.

The past few months have certainly been particularly harrowing for Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian. The rapper left in the middle of one of his concerts in early October after receiving news that Kardashian had been held at gunpoint, bound and gagged, and robbed of over $5 million in jewelry in her Paris hotel room. Kardashian became reclusive after the trauma, but West continued his Saint Pablo concert tour without his wife at his side.

Then it all broke down for Kanye West yet again a couple of weeks ago. The rapper went off on a particularly lengthy rant about politics and celebrity culture at one of his shows before leaving the stage after performing only three songs. The next day, he cancelled the remaining 21 concerts on his tour, and soon after it was reported that he had been taken to a hospital on psychiatric hold after his physician called in to say that he was suffering from temporary psychosis due to dehydration and exhaustion. Various reports came out speculating as to what caused the breakdown, saying that it was Kim Kardashian's absence from the tour that allowed West to bubble over, or that he was depressed due to the anniversary of his mother's death, or that he had gone off of a prescribed medication.

Kanye West was released from the hospital last week after an eight day stay. Kim Kardashian stayed at West's side throughout his time in the hospital, and following his discharge, the two celebrities have cleared their schedule of all public appearances or events for the remainder of 2016 to focus on their family. Still, the drama has obviously stirred the tabloids into a frenzy, with Us Weekly even reporting that Kardashian is preparing to file for divorce --- but E! News, the most reliable source for all things Kardashian, refuted those rumors point-blank.

If anything it appears that the couple is now closer than ever following all this despair, and it looks like we might get some new Kanye West music out of it too!
