One Game Of Thrones Character Is Fueling The Fire About Lady Stoneheart

Potential spoilers ahead for Game of Thrones.

This season has really been a doozy for HBO's megahit Game of Thrones. It seems to be the season of payoffs and fan theories, as the pace of the drama has been much quicker than anything we've seen in the previous 5 seasons. And since it appears that all previous rules and expectations seem to be out the window, one popular character from George R. R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire novels has been heavily rumored to finally make an appearance in the small screen adaptation. Namely, the terrifying zombie-esque character Lady Stoneheart.

Lady Stoneheart is a fairly popular character who appears multiple times in the novels. She is the reanimated corpse of Catelyn Stark, who quickly becomes in charge of the Brothers Without Banners. She, along with her troops, spend their time in the Riverlands brutally murdering anyone who pledges themselves to the Lannisters, Freys, or Boltons. And because she's such a badass, fans of the novels were disappointed that she has yet to appear in Game of Thrones. Now one actor is causing rumors to swirl that we will be seeing Lady Stoneheart on the small screen.

Actor Johannes Haukur Johannesson, who recently made his debut as Lem Lemoncloak in last week's episode has taken to his twitter to support Lady Stoneheart rumors. And since he's in the Brothers Without Banners, he would know if they filmed a scene with actress Michelle Fairley. Check out one of his more recent tweets below.

Pretty fishy, right? Johannes Haukur Johannesson seems to be teasing really hard that Lady Stoneheart will finally be joining the fray in Game of Thrones. In addition to tweeting cryptic crap of that nature, he's also had a habit of retweeting stories which are speculating on Catelyn Stark's return to the series.

While Johannesson has since maintained that he only retweeted the above story because he was psyched his character was mentioned, it does seem a bit suspect.

Although we were all thrilled to see The Hound's return in the most recent episode of Game of Thrones, the reintroduction of the Brotherhood Without Banners seems to point to Lady Stoneheart. Sure, The Hound needed a new enemy to hunt down and kill, but it could have easily been a few random Westerosi assholes. Smart money says that Sandor Clegane hunts down the Brothers only to find Lady Stoneheart leading the men. And because, to the best of Catelyn's knowledge, he serves the Lannisters, she will want him dead. Of course, she is unaware of the close bond that Arya and Clegane formed throughout their journey, so his knowledge of Arya's whereabouts and stories of their relationship may be what saves him from Lady Stoneheart's wrath.

Of course, we'll just have to wait and see if any of these theories come to fruition. Lem Lemoncloak set to appear in this Sunday's episode, we just may get our first look at the terrifying Lady Stoneheart soon.

Or the actor is just full of crap and cashing in on rumors for twitter followers. Who knows.

Game of Thrones airs Sundays on HBO.
