It's Way Too Hot For The Prank Norman Reedus Just Pulled On Andrew Lincoln

There's nothing like a good old-fashioned prank war between co-stars to make for some funny stories for fans, and The Walking Dead can be filled with so much doom and gloom that loyal viewers need laughs every once in a while. Stars Norman Reedus and Andrew Lincoln have a prank war going on that's been pretty hilarious so far, but Reedus' latest prank on his Walking Dead co-star probably didn't have the best seasonal timing. The actors are currently in Atlanta to shoot for Season 7, and it's pretty hot in Georgia right about now. Andrew Lincoln had the misfortune of firing up his car's air conditioning on a 93-degree day, only to find the vents filled with glitter. Norman Reedus caught Lincoln's reaction on camera, and it's definitely worth watching. Check it out!

Norman Reedus' Instagram post of Andrew Lincoln's reaction proves once and for all that Lincoln is a very good sport. As far as I'm concerned, 93 degrees is about 20 degrees too hot for any air conditioning shenanigans. Lincoln deserves credit for limiting his reaction to a single F-bomb as a seemingly endless supply of multicolored glitter flew into his face and stuck to his sweaty skin. The poor guy even looked like he still had some of his Rick Grimes makeup on his face.

Personally, I might not have been able to laugh at Norman Reedus' air conditioning prank if not for the sound of Norman Reedus snickering in the background. Great comedy often needs a jokester as well as a straight man, and Reedus definitely wasn't the straight man in this particular prank. If not for him cracking up as he filmed Lincoln's mostly deadpan reaction, the video might have felt cruel.

Of course, Norman Reedus filling Andrew Lincoln's air conditioning vents with glitter isn't the most bizarre prank that Reedus has inflicted on Lincoln. The war started when Reedus attached an airbrushed Daryl Dixon license plate onto Lincoln's car, and it only escalated from there. At the end of filming for Season 6, Reedus recruited a crew of teamsters to help fill Lincoln's trailer with chickens, because of course he did. The pranks didn't even stay in the U.S. While in Japan to do press for The Walking Dead, Reedus tricked Lincoln into saying "Where's the toilet?" instead of "Thank you" in Japanese. (Watch that one here.)

Luckily for Andrew Lincoln, he managed to pull one over on Norman Reedus when he managed to use a zombie actor to lunge out at Reedus in a hotel room and scare the crap out of him. It was an elaborate ploy involving set construction, schedule trickery, a film crew, and Walking Dead special effects guru Greg Nicotero himself on the scene in Tokyo to handle the zombie makeup job. Norman Reedus is winning on quantity of pranks, but Lincoln may still have the edge on quality.

Only time will tell if Andrew Lincoln makes the next move in his prank war with Norman Reedus. Reedus has been the more frequent perpetrator of tricks, but Lincoln may feel compelled to strike back ASAP after a surprise glitter explosion out of his air conditioning vents on a 93-degree day. Norman Reedus may need to watch out for himself for a while.
