The Gilmore Girls Just Got An Ice Cream Flavor And It Makes So Much Sense
Gilmore Girls is coming back and in a big way on Netflix. To celebrate the upcoming release of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, we've seen coffeehouse pop-ups and Funko Pop! figures all hit the scene. While you may not need a consumer product to get you pumped for new episodes, there is a brand new product that should be an absolutely perfect purchase for the night of the Gilmore Girls premiere on November 25, should you want it. That product is none other than the "They Scoop Gilmores, Don't They?" ice cream, produced by Ample Hills Creamery in New York.
Ok, normally I'm not all about toting ice cream flavors related to TV series, or at least I haven't been since Ben and Jerry's first introduced The Tonight Dough back in 2015. Regardless, this ice cream is particularly special because it fits Lorelei and Rory Gilmore so well. The base of the ice cream is a coffee flavor, mixed with chocolate pudding ice cream. There's also a mention of snickerdoodles and a note that the flavor is topped off with pink "Pop Tart" sprinkles, because:
The item is sold in a pint individually or you can order a four-pack that includes several other flavors from Ample Hills, including a marshmallow ice cream that fits the theme of the four-pack. Ample Hills delightfully titled the four-pack "Where You Lead, I Will Marshmallow," pleasing Gilmore Girls fans everywhere. Ample Hills also does that thing where they will ship ice cream across the country, so you don't have to live near New York to sample the goods. Directions are a little complicated, as the product only ships on certain days, but there's good information on the page.
The Gilmore girls are known lovers of junk food along with caffeine so "They Scoop Gilmores, Don't They," actually does seem like the perfect treat for the premiere, which is coming up quite soon. We recently learned that one fun character, Marty, will not be back for Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life, although on the bright side, Melissa McCarthy will. You can take a look at who will be back with our what we know guide for the unofficial eighth season of the series.
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life will hit Netflix on November 25 at 12:01 a.m. PT. In addition, the subscription streaming service has a ton of shows coming up in the New Year; check 'em out with our 2017 Netflix premiere schedule.
