Ian Ziering Has Exciting Thoughts About A Beverly Hills 90210 Reunion

Steve Sanders Ian Ziering Beverly Hills 90210

Ian Ziering is about to end his long-running stretch as Fin Shepard in Syfy's popular Sharknado TV movie series, and it appears as though the actor is chomping at the bit to line up another high-profile gig. That's what fans may think, anyway, regarding Ziering's recent comments about a potential Beverly Hills 90210 reunion, which sound like a subtle way of encouraging fans to keep chanting for a Steve Sanders comeback. In his words:

Oh, yeah! Always a chance. We all talk, we all have ideas. It's just a matter of time, I think. There's so much chatter on social media, so much clamoring for a reunion, I'm sure something will happen.

Ian Ziering is very optimistic about a Beverly Hills 90210 reunion happening, and mentioned he's seen a lot of folks on social media asking for it. Additionally, Ziering confirmed he's still friendly with most of his former faux schoolmates from West Beverly Hills High, and that they all have ideas about how their television return could go down. Ziering's comment is very similar to former co-star Luke Perry's quote given last year, although Perry added the reunion would have to have a good concept hook for them to commit. This may mean no one has landed on the right idea that would get everyone excited enough to come on board. Although once that idea emerges, it'll likely just be a matter of coordinating schedules.

As for how this Beverly Hills 90210 reunion could happen, it seems possible these stars could get together for a reunion that isn't even necessarily a one-off 90210 special. For example, Ian Ziering and other cast members could surprise Luke Perry's Fred Andrews on Riverdale by portraying long-lost classmates that got out of town before it became a crime-ridden teenage wasteland. There's also that in-development project Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth are working on, which is apparently loosely based on Beverly Hills, 90210. Getting the cast back together on that show may not be the true reunion fans are hoping for. But it's already hard to imagine exactly what fans are wanting from a reunion of the classic high-school drama.

Until Hollywood nails down on that magic idea, Beverly Hills 90210 fans will have to suffice with being treated to a mini-reunion during The Last Sharknado: It's About Time. Ian Ziering teased to People's Chatter that he got to spend some time on that set with former co-star Tori Spelling, who will be appearing in the final installment. As previously mentioned, it wasn't such a huge get-together for Ziering, as he's and Spelling have remained friends since the 90210 days, but the actor did indicate it was still awesome to work with her yet again.

Ian Ziering will appear as Fin Shepard in The Last Sharknado: It's About Time, which will make its television debut on SyFy on Sunday, August 19, at 8:00 p.m. ET.
