90 Day Fiancé Season 8 couple Brandon Gibbs and Julia Trubkina have quickly become one of the franchise's more interesting couples, and it isn't hard to see why. A West Virginian farmer shacking up with a Russian go-go dancer at his parent's house sounds like a sitcom worthy of primetime alone and has already created some reality television gold.
In addition to all that, the duo is an objectively cute couple, as evidenced by the fact Brandon Gibbs recently turned himself into The Elf On The Shelf. Check out the photo Brandon shared on his Instagram page and never be able to look at him the same way ever again:
Before seeing this picture, I can genuinely say I never once made the connection between the Christmas character and the 90 Day Fiancé star and, now that I've seen it, I fear it's all I'll ever see. Brandon Gibbs has the eyes, hair, and overall look of the Elf, and apparently an outfit similar enough to complete the look. Hopefully, this couple survives to appear in a spinoff or two because I'd love to see him don this look in an episode come this Christmas.
As far as whether or not Brandon Gibbs and Julia Trubkina are still together, that's still unknown. 90 Day Fiancé recently showed the couple at odds, as Julia expressed her displeasure of living in his parent's home and questioned whether coming to America was the right decision. The declaration clearly concerned Brandon, who hasn't exactly broken the news to her that it may take some time for him to become financially stable enough for them to move into their own place.
While things may seem tense for the couple, there's some speculative evidence to consider that teases that the two made it through their hard time. Julia recently took to the internet to defend Brandon's family and their dog business, something I'd imagine she wouldn't do if he still weren't a part of her life. Still, it could be the situation is more complicated between the two than we currently know, and her defense of his family business isn't exactly glowing proof the two are still together.
Brandon Gibbs' elf picture is a fun tidbit in the 90 Day Fiancé news cycle, which has been on a positive kick as of late. Stars are losing weight, getting makeovers, and apparently cosplaying as cherished Christmas traditions. Perhaps 2021 will be the year things aren't all that messy for couples in the franchise, though I highly doubt it. It wouldn't be 90 Day Fiancé without a little bit of drama, and the franchise hasn't faltered on delivering that in spades yet.
