The Mandalorian's Pedro Pascal Shows Support For Sister Coming Out As Transgender

To many, Pedro Pascal is mostly known as an actor. He’s starred in a myriad of projects, such as Game of Thrones, Narcos and Wonder Woman 1984. And of course, he’s also known globally as the titular antihero in The Mandalorian. But aside from being an actor, Pascal is also a loving brother to his family and siblings. And recently, this deep affection was on full display when his younger sister came out as a transgender woman.
Actress Lux Pascal recently came out as a transgender woman in a lengthy and intimate cover story for Chilean magazine Ya. After the new issue dropped, Pedro Pascal shared the cover on Instagram and penned a sweet caption about his sister. You can check out the post for yourself down below:
The Spanish caption Pedro Pascal included translates to “My sister, my heart, our Lux.” It’s a sweet and simple message that honestly says everything you need to know about his relationship with his sister. Needless to say, it’s incredibly sweet to see Pascal show such loving support to his younger sibling.
In her recent cover story, Lux Pascal opened up about her journey and discussed her brother’s initial reaction when she revealed her transition. Pascal stated that he was an “important part” of the process and recalled the first time she revealed her transition to him over Facetime:
When I officially told him about my transition through Facetime, he asked me how I felt… because I remember that he was worried. I told him: 'I'm happy.' And his answer was: 'Perfect, this is incredible.'
Pascal’s guidance has also extended to his sister’s work as an actress. In another excerpt (via People), she says her brother was important when it came to forging her identity:
He's also an artist and has served as a guide for me. He was one of the first people to gift me the tools that started shaping my identity.
In the piece, Pascal went on to discuss the importance of activism and expressed just how important it is to her. She says she hopes to serve as a voice for the trans community and wants to help shed light on issues like “transphobia, homophobia and racism.” Pedro Pascal has also been somewhat of an activist, having been a firm advocate for diversity in Hollywood and having been a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community.
Lux Pascal seems to be incredibly happy and ready to begin this new chapter of her life. You love to see siblings support each other, especially when they’re in the limelight as the Pascal siblings are. But whatever happens, it seems more than clear that Pedro Pascal is always going to be there for his sister as she continues into her career.
