Joining the ever-growing list of movie and TV adaptations of the works of Stephen King is Lisey’s Story. The 2006 thriller novel is getting the miniseries treatment with eight episodes to tell the story of a woman who lost her husband two years ago and is now facing a series of unsettling events.

If you’re a fan of Stephen King, you’ll be pleased to know that the author wrote each episode of the Lisey’s Story miniseries, which you’ll be able to watch streaming very soon. So let’s get to the details about how and where you can watch it.

Lisey’s Story Will Be Streaming Exclusively On Apple TV+

Produced by J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions and directed by Pablo Larraín, Lisey's Story will premiere the first two episodes on Apple TV+ on Friday, June 4, with a new episode arriving each Friday after. The series will star Julianne Moore in the title role, with Clive Owen playing her deceased husband, novelist Scott Landon. The cast also includes Joan Allen, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Dane DeHaan.

An Apple TV+ subscription is required to view their original programming. At present, that comes at a cost of $4.99. They do currently offer a 7-day free trial. Apple also has a promo going that offers one year of Apple TV+ free with the purchase of eligible Apple devices. More info on that deal here.

Will Lisey’s Story Be Available On Netflix Or Elsewhere?

As Lisey’s Story is an Apple TV+ exclusive, it’s unlikely that it will be made available on Netflix anytime in the near future, if ever. As for whether or not the series will be released on DVD/Blu-ray, it’s hard to say. Right now, it doesn’t look like Apple TV+ has been releasing their original series on home video just yet, nor do they appear to be available for rental or purchase through Apple’s TV platform. It’s possible we’ll see home video releases of these shows in the future, but for now, a subscription to Apple TV+ may be your only option if you want to watch this series.
