In the 60’s they gave us the Beatles, now in the 2000’s the British are invading again—this time in the form of mega super duper football icon/hero/star David Beckham. And his wife Victoria is pretty popular, too.

If by some off chance you’ve never heard of Beckham before, get ready to see lots and lots of him in the near future. Just days after leaving Real Madrid and signing with the Los Angles Galaxy for a five-year contract, the English athlete, along with wife Victoria (also known as Posh Spice) are set to launch their own reality show in a prime time spot on Fox.

‘People’ magazine quotes a source as saying, "At the moment neither David nor Victoria are majorly famous in the States, but starring in their own show on one of America's biggest channels would catapult them to instant stardom." Not only that, but such a deal would also benefit Fox, which owns the broadcast rights for the US Soccer leagues MLS.

But David Beckham’s plans beyond soccer may not end with just a reality show. Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani is quoted as saying, "I think he wants to be an actor, not a footballer." With Hollywood now only a penalty kick’s distance away, that shouldn’t be too hard for Beckham.

Beckham’s deal with the Galaxy is reportedly the largest in sports history at five years for $250 million. Not only that, but both he and Victoria are set to sign a very lucrative deal for their signature line of perfume--Intimately Beckham—which is already a whopping sweet-smelling success in the UK. Hope whatever mansion they purchase in L.A. comes equipped with a money bin like Scrooge McDuck’s in the backyard.

According to playfuls.com, the Beckham couple’s reality show will chronicle their new life in America. No word yet on when it will air, but do check out this hilarious interview between Ali G and the glamorous couple:
