Last nights ratings are in and The Big Bang Theory managed to win the night despite the fact that it was rerun. The CBS series took in more viewers than anything else airing on network television last night. Fox’s new Ice Age special was the only thing that even managed to come close in terms of viewers.

Entertainment Weekly posted the numbers, stating that The Big Bang Theory took in 11.2 million viewers with a 3.6 adult demo rating. It’s a mark of how beloved the show is that more people would tune in to watch a rerun than check out a new or classic holiday special. The closest anything on network TV came to that was Fox’s new special, Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas, which earned itself 7.1 million viewers (2.3 rating).

5.8 million viewers tuned in to watch ABC’s Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. Following that was the new Lady Gaga special A Very Gaga Thanksgiving with 5.4 million viewers. Coming in last among the network TV specials was Happiness is a Warm Blanket Charlie Brown with 5 million viewers.
