Big Brother 17 Live Feed Spoilers: Nominations And Who Won Battle Of The Block?

Spoiler alert: This live feed update contains spoilers that have not been revealed in the Big Brother episode, including who was nominated, who won Battle of the Block and who is reigning Head of Household for the week.

This being Fourth of July weekend, Big Brother didn't waste any time following up Thursday's live episode with Heads of Household nominations and the Battle of the Block competition. Here's the rundown of what's what as of Friday afternoon, based on conversations in the house (competitions and ceremonies are not shown on the feeds)...

Heads of Household

Shelli

Becky

Nominated

Da'Vonne - nominated by Shelli

John - nominated by Shelli

Jason - nominated by Becky

Steve - nominated by Becky

Battle of the Block

Jason and Steve won. Becky was dethroned.

That's about where things are as of this morning. As mentioned, July 4 is tomorrow, and the timeline's been a bit rushed, presumably as a result. The feeds returned last night with Becky and Shelli having chat sessions with the houseguests to figure out who to nominate. It became clear pretty early on that Becky is targeting Audrey, while Shelli wants Da'Vonne out.

This really could draw a line among the house, as Audrey and Da'Vonne don't trust one another and had it out last week in a spat that, unfortunately, wasn't in Thursday's episode. It's possible Big Brother will circle back to that on Sunday night, especially if Audrey and Da'Vonne get into it again, or there's some way to connect it to more current events.

Based on late night conversations, it looks like Becky's nominations (Steve and Jason) won the Battle of the Block competition, which means they're safe and Becky is vulnerable for nomination if the Veto is used (the Veto competition has not been played yet). Da'Vonne and John are the current nominees, and from what I've seen Shelli seems intent to get Da'Vonne out the door. I'm not sure what she'll do if Day wins the Veto or if someone wins it and uses it on her.

I'd like to see Da'Vonne safe for the week, but if John gets the Veto (or someone uses it on him) and Audrey is put up as the replacement nominee, things could get really interesting. Of course, the only way Shelli might do that is if she feels worried that the houseguests might turn on her if she doesn't. If her target is Da'Vonne and she's intent on making that happen, I can't imagine her putting up Audrey -- whom no one trusts after last week -- as a "pawn."

But we're getting ahead of ourselves. The Veto needs to be won and used. And if Audrey's not the prime target, the houseguests could be exploring all sorts of opportunities.

Shelli and Clay were very cuddly in the HoH room last night (or technically, early this morning). If anything showmantic actually happened beyond that, I didn't see it, but I didn't watch them very long.

No updates on the Last Laugh twist yet.

Meg, James, Jason and Steve are all Have Nots this week. They volunteered, which is no fun. I wish they'd make the Have Not situation more interesting than people essentially taking turns.
