There's good news for one new series and kind-of-good news for for two others. Mindy Kaling's new Fox comedy The Mindy Project has been given an order for additional episodes, which are tacked onto the previously announced full season order. Meanwhile, the official word on the fates of Last Resort and 666 Park Avenue isn't in yet, but ABC has given orders for additional scripts for both dramas.

Earlier this month, we shared the good news that Fox had given a full-season order to The Mindy Project, along with their other new Tuesday night comedy Ben and Kate. Today TVLine posted word that Fox has ordered two additional episodes for The Mindy Project, bringing the Tuesday night comedy's Season 1 episode order to 24 episodes.

ABC may not be feeling nearly as confident about their new dramas 666 Park Avenue and Last Resort, as neither show has received a full season order yet. However, the network gave both dramas orders for two additional scripts. Thursday night drama Last Resort is bringing in more viewers, with this week's episode earning 7.06 million viewers. That's up a bit from the week before. 666 Park Avenue earned 4.82 million viewers last Sunday night, which is down from the week before. Of the two series, it's Last Resort that I'd really like to see stick around, so hopefully the script order will lead to actual episode orders for that one, if not both.
