Survivor: Exile Island Finale Revealed

If you’re like me, you’re only a sporadic “Survivor” watcher these days. Usually, I tune in just enough that I get a feel for the personalities on the show each season. Then I’m locked in for the finale, whenever that happens. Reality shows are everywhere now, but “Survivor” is still “Survivor”. Ok, maybe the show’s finale is not the Superbowl-like event it was when the show first started, but audiences will be gathered around their televisions just the same.

CBS has just announced the details of this season’s finale. The last episode of “Survivor: Panama – Exile Island” will air on Sunday, May 14. As usual, the season will end not in whichever jungle they’ve been starving to death in this year, but in the massive Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City. Place your bets on how Jeff will arrive this time. Parachute? Helicopter? Personally, I’m rooting for surfboard.

After someone walks away with the cash, the participants will all be rounded up and forced to take part in another one of those reunion shows. For those who didn’t do so well in the contest, you know it’s got to be a tremendous beating. But all 16 castaways will sit down for a live reunion show at 10:00 EST, unless you live on the Pacific Coast where you’re probably used to everything being tape delayed. It’s a tradeoff folks… good weather for an absence of live television. I don’t feel sorry for any of you.

So put on your Survivor Buffs and gather around the tribal council on May 14th. I’ll be right there with you.
