The second season of The Walking Dead closed out last night, resolving one arc and giving us a glimpse of the next. For those of you who want to know what’s coming up, the cast and series executive producer Greg Nicotero share some thoughts and a few clues about Season 3 in this video.?

Spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched last night’s Season 2 finale!

AMC’s video features the cast and Nicotero talking about Season 3 of the series in the wake of last night’s great season finale. Obviously, there’s no footage of Season 3 yet, but they do have some interesting things to say about what’s ahead...

“Next season we follow the arc of the graphic novel, with a few departures,” Greg Nicotero says in the video below. “The departures are significant and dramatic and just continue to add spice to already great material.”

?There’s also talk of the prison, and a mention of the hooded figure, who appeared in the woods and saved Andrea (more on her here)

“When the walking dead returns, there’s going to be so much more conflict in this group,” says Melissa McBride (Carol). “Relationships formed. Relationships torn apart... and lots and lots of zombies.”

Is anyone else wondering if Carol and Daryl are on track for a romance? Or are they merely bonded over Sophia?

As for what else is mentioned in the video, I’d love to see a more badass Rick. As for Lori and Rick reconciling. After her reaction to his confession in “Beside the Dying Fire,” I can’t say I’m on board with that. But there’s always the chance Lori could turn around as a character. In the meantime, I wouldn’t be devastated over a separation between Rick and Lori and Carl.

“Season 3’s gonna be an awesome season,” Laurie Holden.

Can’t wait!
