Before Dexter and Homeland return in the fall, we have Weeds and Episodes to look forward to before then. Showtime announced the premiere dates for both series today. Set your calendars for July!
While Nancy Botwin will be back in action (and drug related crime) for Weeds’ eighth season, Episodes is will return for its second. TV Line posted the news that both series will return on Sunday, July 1. Weeds Season 8 will premiere at 10/9c and Episodes will air immediately after.
Showtime didn’t share anything about the return of Weeds, which isn’t all that surprising, considering the last season ended with a major cliffhanger. It’s likely they’ll want to keep us hanging a bit longer before we start to get some juicy tidbits about what’s ahead (and who might have gotten shot).
As for Episodes, (spoiler alert!) the second season picks up with Sean and Beverly separated, but they’re soon forced to reunite - in the workplace anyway - as the ridiculously titled, ridiculously looking TV remake Pucks! goes to series. “As Beverly struggles to save her marriage, Matt is determined to save his ‘bromance’ with Sean, and all of them are forced to try to save Pucks! as its ratings start to plummet and the pressure mounts.”
?I forgot how much I liked Episodes, but that bit of info on Season 2 has me excited for more.
