Peacock, the new psychological thriller starring Cillian Murphy, is almost as much of a mystery as the secretive character Murphy plays in the film. It's going direct to DVD, but it's sporting a rock-solid cast including Murphy, Susan Sarandon, and Ellen Page. It's a first feature outing for writer/director Michael Lander and co-writer Ryan Roy. It also finds Murphy spending a considerable amount of screen time in a dress. Whatever would Dr. Crane say?
Murphy stars as John Skillpa, a quiet bank clerk in Peacock, Nebraska who keeps to himself enough that no one suspects he has an alternate personality named Emma (hence the dress). After a train caboose crashes into his back yard while "Emma" is hanging the wash, John's neighbors meet the woman they assume to be a new wife.
