Sony revealed at their E3 press conference that they will be releasing dozens of new PSOne through Playstation Network. One of those games just went live today: Final Fantasy VII.

It's been long rumored that a remake of the 1997 RPG would make its way to PS3. Remember those photos of a Best Buy sign that made the rounds last year? Though FF7 fans have been fed a lot of false hope over the years, this time it's finally legit.

Among the other rumored additions to the PlayStation Store are Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil: Director’s Cut. Sony didn't confirm either of these two titles' remakes during the conference but noted 50 PSOne games in all would hit PSN.
