GTA 5 Online High Life Update Release Date Announced, New Screenshots Released
GTA Online's next major DLC pack, the High Life Update, finally has a release date. Rockstar Games announced today that the add-on will arrive next week.
"Coming next week on Tuesday May 13th, it's time to expand your foothold in Los Santos with The High Life Update for Grand Theft Auto Online, which features new high-end apartments, multi-property ownership, four new vehicles, the powerful Bullpup Rifle and more," the developer said on Rockstar Newswire this morning.
The High Life Update adds several new luxury vehicles to GTA Online. Rockstar provided some extra details on these additions today. The new vehicles are the Enus Huntley S (SUV), Dewbauchee Massacro (sports car), Pegassi Zentorno (super car) and Dinka Thrust (motorcycle). These vehicles can be purchased through Legendary Motorsport. Alternately, you can access them in GTA 5's campaign through any garage property.
GTA Online players will also be able to buy high-end apartments at locations like the Eclipse Towers and Richards Majestic. These apartments will have brand-new interiors. The Update allows you to own two properties at the same time so you won't have to give up your old pad.
The High Life Update also adds the promised "Non Contact" mode for Races. This allows players to compete in more "pure" races. During "Non Contact" races, other players are translucent and you can't collide with them. However, NPC vehicles and other objects will still impede your progress so keep your eyes on the road.
"The new Mental State player stat shows you just how passive or psychotically unhinged fellow players in your session really are – so you'll know if you need to have it at the ready when they approach," Rockstar adds. "The High Life Update also includes new wardrobe options, vehicle horns and player toasts/celebrations as well as 15 new Jobs - including 5 new Contact Missions."
Like the Valentine's Day Massacre and Business Updates for GTA Online, the High Life Update will be free to download. You'll just have to grab it from the in-game store after it's released.
