Giant Bomb Gives You A Behind-The-Scenes Look At E3 Press Conferences
So uh, what's that chaotic procedure like to get up in the morning and storm each and every press conference held throughout the first day of E3? A chaotic procedure that includes getting up in the morning to storm each and every press conference held throughout the first day of E3.
While Gaming Blend's own Ryan Winslett is giving our readers some textual play-by-play from E3's ground zero, the guys at Giant Bomb have an awesome video up that clocks in at just under an hour, showcasing a behind-the-scenes look at how they tackle the hectic amalgamation of media blitzing and corporate buzzword warfare, paraded around in the form of interactive digital media entertainment and TV on your freaking TV!
I don't know how they managed to do it without crashing and burning, but they did it. The guys also offer some great insight, with that Shia Labeouf looking kid making a great point about Sony making a potential short-term gain in loyalty with gamers while bypassing the long-term plan of revenue. Although, potentially, that short-term gain could result in long-term revenue...but we'll see. Also, I just kept thinking he was going to scream out "No, no, no, no, no....Optimuuuuuuuus!"
Moving on...I thought the behind-the-scenes video was spotless and offered great laughs, insight and a thrilling look at what it takes to pull off high-end media coverage at the biggest video game trade show event of the year.
I'm not a regular viewer of Giant Bomb content but I hear good things about them from the Neogaf community, the N4G community, the Gamefaq community, the Polygon community, the Kotaku community, the Reddit community, the Gamespot forums and the IGN forums...then again, everyone on the IGN forums talks good about any other site that isn't IGN, so I guess they don't count.
Anyway, you can check out more E3 content that isn't on Giant Bomb right here at Gaming Blend. Unfortunately, we don't have all that snazz and pizzazz like those guys but we might be able to win you over with some hash-filled brownies or something.
The best we got is that thing about that hacker kid from Australia leaking 1.7TB worth of confidential data that could just be loli-porn or Peter Moore from his thong-modeling days...bet you didn't know he had a tight, tanned body under those expensive suits he bought with all that day-one DLC money, did you? Well he does. Just thought you should know.
