Apparently The Beatles: Rock Band did well enough for Harmonix to go ahead with another band-centric Rock Band. At the Spike VGAs, they showed the first trailer for Green Day: Rock Band.
The game will feature venues and songs throughout the game's career. The trailer didn't show a whole lot - just a virtual representation of the band jamming to "American Idiot." If you've seen any Rock Band gameplay footage, you can probably guess what it looks like. It's below anyway if you want to check it out.
The rumor going around a few months back was that Queen would be the subject of a new Rock Band. The announcement of GD: RB doesn't mean Queen: Rock Band won't happen someday but, well, not just yet.
