Injustice: Gods Among Us Adds Sorceress Raven
DC Comics fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us is a month away and NetherRealm Studios is using these last few weeks to reveal more characters for the roster. Today they released a trailer confirming that Raven will be playable.
Raven is proficient at hand-to-hand combat, like every other members of Injustice's cast. However, her real strength is in magic. In this video's battle, she fires energy blasts at Catwoman and uses telekinesis to slam her to the ground.
Her super ability allows her to cast Catwoman into an interdimensional prison. In this prison, Catwoman is slashed up by demons. Trigon, the demonic father of Raven, then shoots her with his eyebeams.
The video is a complete match, giving us a good look at what the actual play experience will be like. As you can see, there's a lot of environmental destruction. The combatants can pick up nearby objects to club their foes. The level will be slowly ripped apart as these two super-beings battle.
Injustice: Gods Among Us pits the world's superheroes and supervillains against each other in a massive battle royale. Marquee names like Batman, Lex Luthor and Superman will be joined by less mainstream characters like Deathstroke and Hawkgirl.
