This week Capcom combined two of their old fighting games into one HD re-release. Marvel Vs. Capcom Origins, a hybrid of Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes and Marvel Super Heroes, is now available for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Origins gives both games' visuals a face-lift. It also introduces more modern features like online play and spectator mode. Players will be able to save their match videos and show them to the masses as well. Other features include eight-player lobbies and dynamic challenges.

The game also gives players the ability to wind back the clock and experience the games in all their retro glory. It includes "arcade cabinet" and "over the shoulder" views for the action. I can't imagine many people will play with those camera views for an extended period of time but they're a clever nod to the games' arcade roots.

In order to get Origins, you'll have to cough up $14.99 or 1200 MS Points.
