An announcement trailer for the Unreal Engine 3-powered, third-person shooter, The Haunted: Hells Reach was released earlier in the day featuring some extremely impressive looking combat for both single and multiplayer modes. Well, there’s good news in store for Xbox 360 and PS3 owners, as one of the members from the development team acknowledged that the game could be arriving for XBLA and PSN.

Given the game’s high quality gameplay features it only seemed reasonable that the title would appear on the Xbox 360 or PS3 and Gerhard Weihrauch commented that the game is currently without a publisher (although that could be changing very soon) and right now it’s only going to be released on PC. However, Weihrauch mentioned that if a publisher steps up to the plate (and don’t be surprised if EA does so) The Haunted: Hells Reach could possibly be released for the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network shortly after its launch for PC.

The Haunted captures a little bit of the multi-genre aspects of action gaming, as seen in titles like BattleSwarm: Field of Honor which pits savvy FPS aficionados against the brainy skills of RTS gamers. Of course, in The Haunted all the gore is churned up by a multiple of 10 and the weapons look like they’re a blast to use.
