The Hunger Games Peacekeepers Terrify Comic-Con Crowds
Sometimes, things can get rowdy on the convention floor at San Diego Comic-Con. Thankfully, this year, the Peacekeepers were present to intimidate rowdy Comic-Con crowds (and help promote The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1).
Lionsgate carved out a little corner of the Convention Center floor for a sizeable Hunger Games exhibit, handing out posters to excited fans and allowing crowd members to post with Peacekeepers. Traitors! We are supposed to be rebelling against these Capitol scumbags. The brutes act as the security force for President Snow and the Capitol elite. Remember what they did to the poor District 12 residents? Bastards!
And yet, all people wanted to do was take pictures with these gun-toting dudes.
As they stood in front of the Samsung Galaxy Hall of Heroes:
Speaking of the Samsung Galaxy sponsorship, they will present the first official trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 on Friday at a special event using Galaxy Tab S devices. We will be covering that event, and will bring you full descriptions of what is shown in the first Hunger Games footage.
Also, as The Hunger Games continues to dominate San Diego Comic-Con (without even having a panel in the vaunted Hall H), an exclusive poster – which promises rebellion – made the rounds this afternoon.
Smart move by Summit/Lionsgate to have a decent presence at the Con without having to control the Hall H crowds. Even though those Peacekeeper dudes make me more than a little bit scared. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 hits theaters on November 21, 2014.
