Reese Witherspoon Robotrips![]()
There’s perhaps no other industry we have more of a love/hate relationship with than pharmaceuticals. They figured out how to cure what? But they’re charging what for it?. It’s an unsolvable problem really. The more ludicrous prices the drug companies charge, the more they have to pour into research. The more affordable they make the drugs, the more needy people can afford them and get better. That, my friends, is a conundrum. And perfect fodder for comedy.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Reese Witherspoon has signed on to star in a new Universal picture about the seedy nature of the legal drug trade. Entitled Pharm Girl it’s being pitched as a comedy and will be penned by the boys behind Bad Santa, Glenn Ficarra and John Requa. Don’t necessarily expect depravity though; the duo also wrote Cats & Dogs with Jeff Goldblum. No word yet on what this might be rated, when it will be released or who will sign on to support. But I’ll guess PG-13, early 2011 and not Ryan Phillippe. |
